ABS-CBN Foundation’s Valentine Dinner Dance

Los Angeles, CA – ABS-CBN Foundation International Operation Sagip Kapamilya joined the Filipino American community in Los Angeles at the Starview Ballroom in Sheraton Hotel, Universal City as they gather to raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Sendong last Sunday, February 12, 2012.
Headed by Adrian Lecaros, the event was hosted by Analiza “Issa” Gelasio assisted by Ted Benito. Letty Quizon, Director of Development for ABS-CBN Foundation- USA led us to an invocation to start the night. Party-goers got into the spirit of love with Ner De Leon, Fil-Am contemporary jazz saxophonist. VJ Rosales, singer/songwriter from Los Angeles with a fresh sound brought versatility to the style of pop, jazz and R & B, serenaded the crowd with a fusion of the new generation pop genre. He sang with his band, “Chasing Vertigo”. For the rest of the evening, people spent the night dancing to the music of Antoinette Taus and The Browndition Band.
Among the many sponsors are Pinoy Insider, RSG Jewelry, O by Olivia, Monet Salon, Reyes Law Group, Noypitz Bar and Grill, Lou Razon Couture. Valentine’s Dinner Dance at Universal Sheraton Starview Ballroom for the benefit of ABS CBN Foundation International. Dinner tickets were sold for $100 with $25 from each ticket going to benefit ABS CBN Foundation International.
Mr. Robbie Fabian, President of ABS-CBN Foundation International was there to witness the occasion. He recognized the efforts of all the people who came to support a very good cause. “When you lose everything you have and people you love, it is a devastation that challenges the human capacity to overcome,” said Robbie Fabian. “But where we’re from, we overcome together.”
ABS-CBN Foundation International is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged Filipino children and their families in the Philippines and around the world. Its flagship program, Bantay Bata (Child Watch), is a child abuse rescue operation that responds to an average of 15,300 calls for assistance a year. “Maraming Salamat for the suppport! With your help we were able to raise about $5000 for the ABS-CBN Foundation for typhoon and earthquake victims in the Philippines” acknowledged by the leader and organizer, Adrian Lecaros after the successful event.
