MANILA, Philippines – Actor Derek Ramsay proves himself an ever-reliable gentleman as he continues to bravely parry nasty insinuations pertaining to ex-girlfriend Angelica Panganiban.
Among issues being hurled against the actress of late is that she’s supposedly caused the recent split of John Prats and Bianca Manalo.
According to Ramsay, the mere notion is absurd.
“John Prats and Angelica are best friends, that’s it. Magkababata ‘yang mga ‘yan. Nakakatawa naman. That’s not true,” said he in a taped interview aired on Saturday via “Paparazzi Showbiz Exposed.”
Another issue that Ramsay slammed is the allegation that John Lloyd Cruz has been a constant visitor in Panganiban’s Eastwood condo.
“Alam ninyo guys, kung tutoo ‘yan ang daming nag-picture niyan,” said he confidently.
Apparently, Ramsay believes that Cruz is just way too famous to even dare.
“John Lloyd Cruz is John Lloyd Cruz. He’s the most popular actor in the country. If he walks around Eastwood, there’d be a lot of people showing pictures of John Lloyd and Angel. I know that’s not true,” he added.
As to the widely whispered “kissing video” between the actor and his ex, Ramsay simply shrugged his shoulders.
“Well, maybe there is,” said he. “[Pero] baka kinunan [lang] ‘yun [sa] eksena na naghahalikan sila [for a movie]. Baka ‘yun ‘yon.”
He added, “I haven’t seen any videos. Ang alam ko lang they became good friends [during their film shooting] in Vietnam.”
One thing that Ramsay refused to answer is the matter of them allegedly having “lived-in” together during the six years that they have been together.
“Guys that’s a private matter,” Ramsay pointed out. “Ayoko na madagdagan pa ang mga issues namin. We decided to stop the relationship for now and I wanna keep it private and peaceful.”
He went on to plead for people not to make a big fuss out of the breakup anymore.
“People fall in and out of love everyday; it’s not a crime, it’s just a fact of life,” he said. “Let’s move on.”
Coincidentally, as the interview with Ramsay was being aired, Panganiban posted a tweet saying, “Eto ang laging nasa condo!!!! Nakahubad pa!” With it she posted a photo of herself together with singer-actor Kean Cipriano, who appears naked from the waist up, and another friend.
Cipriano also got in on the act, posting on his own account a seemingly related picture some time later, saying, “Ako po talaga ang laging nasa condo ni @iamangelicap. ✌hahahahaha. Eto may proof pa! Hahahaha.”
